🛒 What’s New in SAP Ariba Procurement Solutions? 🛒

It’s great to see SAP Ariba continue to enhance the CurrentGen Ariba platform. Below are some of the new features and improvements introduced in the SAP Ariba 2608 release.

✅ SLP-2406: New User Group for Supplier Contact Creation and Editing
This feature adds a new SM Supplier Contact Creator user group specifically for creating and editing supplier contacts in the supplier profile and questionnaire invitation workflows. You can use this group to restrict who can create and edit contacts more narrowly than the default permissions, allowing for better governance of contact management.

✅ SOURCE-2797: Large Attachment Support in SAP Ariba Sourcing
This feature introduces support for handling large attachments in both the guided sourcing and classic SAP Ariba Sourcing interfaces. You can now upload attachments with a maximum file size of 2 GB. The following import scenarios are not supported: Smart imports, Bid imports, and Excel imports.

✅ PROC-1115: Support for Including Attachments in Requisition Approval Emails
With this feature, header and line-level attachments are included in requisition approval email notifications so that approvers can make informed decisions without signing in to the SAP Ariba application.

✅ GUIDEB-1194: Enhanced Supplier Search on Request for Quotes in Guided Buying
This feature enhances supplier search on request for quotes (RFQs) in guided buying. When this feature is enabled, users can find more suppliers when they create an RFQ and use suppliers that aren't required to be qualified or preferred. Before this feature was introduced, when users created an RFQ, they could choose only from qualified or preferred suppliers.

✅ GUIDEB-1350: Restrict On-Behalf-Of Plant Chooser to User's Company Code
When this feature is enabled, the plants available for the on-behalf-of plant option are automatically filtered to display only those associated with the requester's company code.
